"Other stores keep your money. We give it away. We're not great at business. But we care and we're stubborn."
[OUR MISSION]
We Give Away Most of Our Money. On Purpose.
Boundless Giving is a marketplace that sells products from brands you actually like — and sends a real chunk of every sale directly to charity. Not 1%. Not a vague "portion of proceeds." The exact dollar amount is on every single product. You see it before you buy.
Our accountant thinks we need a new business model. We think everyone else does.
[HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS]
No Fine Print. No BS.
Here's the entire business model. We're putting it on the internet for anyone to read because we have nothing to hide and honestly we could use the attention.
You shop.
Real brands. Good products. Stuff you were going to buy anyway — candles, skincare, apparel, accessories, the jacket you've been eyeing for three weeks. We carry it. It's nice. You'll look great.
We show you the math.
Every single product on our site tells you the exact dollar amount going to charity. Not a percentage buried in a footnote. Not a "portion of proceeds" which is corporate speak for "we'll donate $11 and write a blog post about it." The actual number, right on the product page, before you buy. $42 to ALS Network. $24.80 to Step Up. $15.20 to Life Rolls On. You see it. It's real. We can't fake it because it's literally right there.
We send the money.
Directly to the nonprofit. Real dollars. Real transfers. Then we talk about it on social media because we have absolutely no chill about this stuff. Transparency isn't a value for us — it's the whole point.
We keep what's left.
After the product cost and the charitable donation, we keep a thin margin to pay for things like the website, shipping logistics, and the occasional coffee. Our margins are genuinely thin. Like, concerningly thin. Our accountant has mentioned this. Multiple times. We're aware.
[OUR VALUES]
What Drives Us
Radical Transparency
Every product shows the exact dollars going to charity. We could be vague about it. We could say "a portion of proceeds" and technically be telling the truth. But that's what everyone else does and honestly it's a little sus. You deserve to see the number. So we show you the number.
No Guilt Trips
We're not here to make you feel bad about shopping. That's a terrible business strategy and also just annoying. You're going to buy things. That's fine. That's normal. We just made it so your purchases actually do something beyond making a shipping label. Shop because you want to, not because we guilted you into it.
Partnerships That Actually Work
Here's a secret about most brand-charity partnerships: the brand gets great PR and the charity gets a check that wouldn't cover a month of office rent. Our model is different. Brands keep their wholesale margins — we don't ask them to sacrifice anything. The charitable donation comes from our side. Which means the charities get real, meaningful funding. And the brands get to be part of something without it costing them a dime. Everyone wins except our profit margins, which are a work in progress.
Products We'd Actually Buy
We don't carry random stuff just because it has a good margin. If we wouldn't buy it for ourselves, we're not putting it on the site. Every product here is something we genuinely think is good. We carry brands like Johnnie-O, Marine Layer, Outerknown, Herbivore Botanicals, and Homesick because they make things people actually want. This is a shopping destination first. The charity part makes it better, but the products have to be worth buying on their own.
