Napa Soap Company is the answer to a search for soap that utilized eco-friendly, local ingredients. While living in the hills of Napa with their young children and two dogs, dirt was a big part of our founders' lives! With all the washing going on, they became concerned with the ingredients in the typical array of mass-produced soap products on the market. They found themselves spending quite a bit of time trying to find safe, gentle cleansers with ingredients they could actually pronounce to use on their little dirt devils.

Armed with love and far too much home grown lavender, they started making soap in their garage! Soon, they were giving it to everyone they knew. The positive feedback and frequent requests for more convinced them to officially launch Napa Soap Company in 1999. 

Since our founding, we have expanded to create a line of trustworthy products that are used and enjoyed by many.
